2023 has been a beautiful year. But it wasn’t at all what I expected. 

At the start of the year, my church donned this “the year of miracles.”

Which in my mind translated as checking off my dreams and desires left and right, with no struggle in between.

That’s not quite how things went. 

When I first read Proverbs 4:23 I was like, “YESSS! Finally one out of a million things I won’t have to change in trying to live this crazy, Jesus-follower life.”

Fast-forward to this week and God decided to show me that my interpretation of this scripture – and the excitement connected to it – wasn’t exactly correct.

I've been thinking a ton about relationships since my last post. And it's crazy because as many things that happen in this world, nothing affects us more than the relationships we choose and the way we prioritize them.

That said, I'm done learning certain things from people for a while.

So I watched the Red Table Talk with Jada and Will. The one where Jada "brought herself to the red table" to discuss her "entanglement" with August Alsina.
